San Antonio's Sea World of Texas brings aquatic life from around the world to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Located on San Antonio's upper west side, Sea World sits on 250 acres shaded by tall oak trees. The real experience at Sea World of Texas can't be read about. You have to buy tickets and experience this theme park for yourself. Sea World has something for all who visit this San Antonio mega attraction. From rides, shows, and aquariums to the Clydesdale horses and Shamu, Sea World of Texas is the world's largest marine adventure theme park. Tickets vary in price and options and can be purchased online.
Park exhibit attractions include aquatic life such as penguins, killer whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, and even a petting pool where you can feed the dolphins. Additional animal attractions are aviary habitats and Clydesdale horses. Sea World attractions spread out over a large area that is beautifully landscaped and well manicured so walking around Sea World San Antonio is an attraction in itself.
Rides at Sea World include several enormous roller coasters. I'm not a roller coaster person but the look of these giant thrill rides is enough to make me gasp. The coasters include the 15 story Steel Eel and the Great White, an inverted roller coaster where your feet hang loose at speeds of almost 50 miles per hour. Rides for the kids include the Shamu Express, which is a "beginner coaster" so the little ones can have their chance riding too. Water rides include the Texas Splashdown, a "water roller coaster" and the Rio Loco or "Crazy River" which is a white water rafting adventure. Sea World San Antonio rides are thrilling adventures for people who enjoy that sort of theme park activity.
Sea World is synonymous with Shamu and this trained Killer Whale show is the highlight of Sea World San Antonio. The Shamu show is truly breathtaking and the way the whale works with its trainer is fascinating. Don't sit in the front 10 to 15 rows unless you're wearing a swim suit because you're going to get splashed. Shamu displaces a lot of water coming down into the tank. See Shamu's website
Also at Sea World San Antonio are theater type shows and a ski show featuring some pretty cool and scary tricks. But for more aquatic entertainment, definitely go to the Dolphin show where trainers perform with the Dolphins. Performers in this show have arms and legs or fins and flippers...and all are acrobatic. This show leaves you wondering "how did they just do that?". The
dolphins and Shamu really are acrobatic performance entertainment.
The activities at Sea World San Antonio can't truly be described but need to be experienced and all of the things to do at Sea World can't be covered in one day. Buy tickets and experience this theme park for yourself. On the web - Sea World San Antonio
