Open Air San Antonio Flea Markets
Flea Market as defined is an open air market selling used articles, curios, and antiques. San Antonio and Bexar County have numerous flea markets located primarily on the south and west side of town. These San Antonio open air markets are unique because many of the items shoppers find are new and have been brought out of Mexico. Some of the items for sale include things such as Mexican chairs, pewter dishes crafted in Mexico, cowboy hats, and even goats or chickens. Some San Antonio and Bexar County flea markets aren't listed while the larger markets usually are. Directions to the groups of open air flea markets are easy. On San Antonio's south side, outside of loop 410 (south of loop 410) is highway 281 south which goes to Pleasanton. Open air flea markets start south of 410 and dot the highway for a few miles. The other highway lined with many flea markets is highway 16 south, which goes to Jourdanton and parallels highway 281. Highway 16 is also dotted with flea markets south of loop 410.
