Radio stations in the San Antonio area reflect the diversity of listeners in this regional Texas radio market. Whether tuning to AM or FM stations, listeners easily find their radio preference whether its talk radio, rock and roll, tejano, or country and western music. San Antonio radio stations provide listeners with a generous variety of options covering a large geographic coverage area.
99.5 KISS - KISS is the home of the funniest morning show in Texas. Lisle and Hahn sometimes make it hard to drive to work in the morning I laugh so hard. I'm sure the KISS station manager lectures them before and after their show...probably during the broadcast as well. Each day of the week has a theme (or title) and these DJ's have a blast butchering serious news stories to the point of uncontrollable laughter. Lisle and Hahn are never without a witty quip or comment and constantly ride the fine line of "acceptable behavior" but that's what makes them so fun. I'd bet their audience does not consist of carpooling moms taking the kids to school but their fun loving morning show keeps the rest of us entertained. If they play a song, I change to another station.
550 KTSA - Home of Ricci Ware, one of the most notable radio personalities in South Texas. Ricci has a great deal of fun on his show talking about politics, local issues and news and he does it with a laid back, level headed approach. He routinely calls politicians that he knows and talks candidly with them about whatever topic is being discussed. Ricci does an excellent job with his radio show and was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2004. Listen to Ricci Ware weekdays 9-11 AM. Ricci Ware
98.5 The Beat - The morning show here titled "the morning mess" is pretty funny. If you listen to the DJ "Biggie Paul", you'll definitely get a kick out of his voice and personality. The more I listen, the more I laugh. He just talks and I'm chuckling. Although 98.5 The Beat doesn't play my type of music, I do tune in to their morning show just to listen to Biggie Paul. Additionally, Biggie Paul says that if he wasn't in radio, he'd be doing something with kids and I thought that said a good bit about his personality and his priorities. Biggie Paul's Profile
