Little Red Barn Steak House
Walk in to the Little Red Barn and your greeted with "watch your step and follow the hostess". There's nothing little about the Little Red Barn. The restaurant itself consists of several dining rooms, the parking lot takes up the bulk of a city block, and the menu is 3 feet tall...literally. They lean it up against the table next to you. The Little Red Barn boasts serving over 1000 steaks per day and one can only wonder how it's any less. This steak restaurant is constantly packed. They primarily serve steak but their entire menu is fantastic and the price is very reasonable. Good food, good price, big steaks and a big menu.
Little Red Barn Dining
I eat at the Little Red Barn for lunch and my preference is usually steak but I venture to the seafood once in a while. The steaks are generous portions with the option of baked potato or fries. I opt for fries always and this restaurant has great fries, or at least I like the way they're prepared, gold and crunchy on the outside. I recently had the chicken fried steak and it was good but I prefer to get the steaks here. You can't go wrong with a steak dinner at the Little Red Barn.
The atmosphere at this Texas size steak house is purely "down home country". You can sit on a bench at the table with checkered cloth while looking at the walls covered with cattle brands from area ranches. The hostess and waitress sometimes refer to you as "sweetie" or "darlin'" and their outfits consist of a cowboy hat and bandana. The Little Red Barn has been around for almost 45 years serving big steaks at reasonable prices. This restaurant is highly recommended!
